Description
unsure how this got here. there's two different plants and this entire area is a tangle of apparent garden escapes and classic waste-ground plants.
it's either a relic of cultivation (but it's right on the river bank, so I doubt this?) or genuinely self-sown - there are a few old BSBI newsletters that note this plant self-seeding in Middlesex and Cornwall. the immediate area is overrun with ground-elder and (long?) untouched; there's a garden immediately North along the river-bank, but this is very well kept.

Description
I heard a very distinct bird calling. I searched all the trees, but couldn't find any birds. Later saw this structure (see pictures) quite far up in the trees, a nest I guess. The bird call always came from the same direction so I suppose maybe from a young brid in the nest. Judging from the sound it was coming from that tree. Possibly a corvid?
