Resting on an understorey plant. At a quick glance, I initially thought it was a bird dropping. The white hairs give it the appearance of being infected with an entomopathogenic fungi, maybe as a deterrent to predators...? Definitely the most amazing cerambycid I've ever seen!

Toad and cobras it must be spring.
The toad seemed to inflate itself and play dead while the cobra bit it. Strangely, the cobra then disappeared into the brush. Immediately, the toad snapped back to normal and jumped away. We watched it for about 5-10 minutes, but it showed no sign of envenomation, eventually disappearing into a hole.
