An Eastern Tailed-Blue is nectaring on Deer Weed,aka California Broom (Acmispon glaber) at Mississippi Bar....According to Shapiro from Art Shapiro's Butterfly Site the Eastern Tailed Blue is found in riparian habitats.It rarely turns up above 2000 ft and in our area (Central Valley)is almost never sympatric with the Western Tailed-Blue when two taxa co-occur in the same place.
