I believe this to be I. acmon and not the very similar I. lupini described in Pyle/LaBar. The location where I found this individual appears to be out of range in that field guide but close enough to support my thinking. Additionally referencing Guppy/Shepard their specimen matches as well but still not documented in this area.

Large Hesperia which I mistook for a grasshopper initially. Took around 50 photos as it nectared on the Red Clover. Dorsal views showed that the margin pattern lined up with H. juba more than with H. comma or H. colorado. All are not expected in this area. A rare find indeed.
