So far I haven't been able to find a match for this. I think I can rule out Jaxea, and super-amily Alpheoidea
I think maybe Calocarides

Lower Miocene (21 Ma), fossil. 6-8 mm wide at root.
Initial thoughts are Rhizoprionodon. However, I cannot find any reference to the genus in New Zealand fossil beds following a sweep through relevant literature. Maybe a different kind of Requiem Shark? Or an uncommon/new record of Rhizoprionodon in the local fossil record .

Swam out when I lifted a rock. It then tucked into a space nearby. Very weird things. Habitat shot last. That's the spot he was in before I flipped the rock.
