(2)97. A park ranger had the Condor Spotter app and she looked it up. She was born on April 9, 2003 at the World Center for Birds of Prey. She is currently paired with 123, has 1 offspring (1235), and 47 siblings. After flying around, she landed on the ledge and was joined by another condor (maybe 1235).

I heard a baby grackle call loudly outside, and when I went to the door, it was right there on the mat. When I went to grab my camera, it had moved to the edge. It then kept flying at the windows before flying away.

Notamos que este individuo del grupo había tomado una hoja de Ombú. En el momento creímos que estaba comiéndola lo que nos llamó la atención. Sin embargo la mordía y sostenia con la pata, le quita el peciolo y la lleva a una cavidad, para luego salir de inmediato con la misma hoja.
Consultando en distintos grupos y hablando con diversas personas surgieron varias hipotesis:
- la usa como desinfectante/desparasitario ? (La Harpía usa un tipo particular de hoja en su nido para tal efecto - G. Mancini. En el caso de las cotorras cuando usan ramitas de tala , los pichones tienen menos ectoparásitos - W. Cejas )
- refrescar el nido? (El aguila coronada lleva ramas con hojas verdes al nido cuando hace calor. P. Capovilla)
- está jugando con la hoja o aprendiendo algo?
- todas son validas? jajaj
